E3 2008 Microsoft Press Conference Thoughts

Xbox 360Here we are at E3 time again. Microsoft once again started the show with their press conference, and pretty much anything would be better than last year’s snooze fest at the high school. Thankfully, this year was hosted at E3, but was it any better?

The press conference kicked off with a great start. We got trailers & gameplay from Fable 2, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2 & Resident Evil 5, which were nice, but not a whole lot we hadn’t seen before. Getting a look at Fallout 3 actually being played was comforting to see they pulled it off right. Bethesda seems to be trying to make a game for everyone, AND they may just actually be able to pull it off. Play it in first person, third person, as a shooter, as a thief, with real-time combat or strategic targeting. It all seemed to work nicely in the demo.

After those game, at only a few small points in the presentation did the audience even clap and applaud a little bit, much less enthusiastically. Those brief moments were at the announcement of Portal: Still Alive, RockBand 2 offerings (including Guns and Roses, AC/DC and Metallica), and Square Enix announcing Final Fantasy XIII for the 360. Basically PC gaming got the shaft. Oh wait… I think they might have mentioned Fallout 3 was also PC. It was hard to tell, I kept nodding off.

The rest of the time was basically summed up as blah, blah, ugh, blah, ugh, ugh, blah! Seriously.

I think Microsoft was thinking their big announcement was the Mii-vatars, no Ava-Miis, no Wii-60 Avatars. Something like that. Just imagine your Nintendo Miis created by Rare for the Xbox 360. Oh, and steal the interface from the iPod/iPhone, and viola, you have the new 360 dashboard and Avatars. Beyond that, you have brand new party games that have been done before like Sing Star, wait I mean Lips.

NetflixBut hands down, the best part about their conference actually had NOTHING to do with gaming. Netflix is teaming up with Microsoft to add their streaming library to the 360 for subscribers! Now that’s awesome, and I can’t wait to stream movies through my Xbox 360.

And speaking of the Xbox 360, I found this awesome site that has a guide on how to fix the Red Ring of Death! Click Here to check it out!

PSP game cheats can be found for free all over the Internet. Unfortunately, many of the cheats you find won’t work properly. This guide will help you find PSP game cheats that are guaranteed to work.

PSP game cheats aren’t as common as cheats for other systems, but the key is really just knowing where to look. I usually don’t like to use cheat codes unless I’m really stuck on a game. But if I do need them, I know where to look.

I have one source that I go to for all of my game cheats. They are one of the few sites that I have found to consistently be reliable. Plus, they’re collection of game cheats is unbeatable.

Adam Jaylin asked:

Video games are loved by the kids and teenagers. They are passionate about the latest games and their characters. However, a number of advanced features have been included in the modern gaming systems so that players could enjoy more excitement. The adults are also seen enjoying various exciting games. The story line, video graphics, sound quality, etc., of these games have been improved significantly and therefore gamers often find themselves lost in the gaming world.

Modern games are not mere source of entertainment, rather these require some skills to play and win. The computer generated enemies fight against the gamers and overcoming them is a big deal. The gaming companies provide games cheat systems to the players so that they could thrash the threatening enemies. These cheats are basically the codes that are used for giving a slip to the computer so that the player could win the game. These help the gamers in progressing to the next stage by just pressing a few keys.

Markus Wahlgren asked:

Amaterasu, the brave adventurer from the widely popular and standard setting Okami game, has just entered an area with a tree, a dark looking tree without further use than being just a tree… or is it…? Looking closer you realize there is a ribbon tied around it and your gamer instincts tells you that ribbon has a meaning but what on earth could it be?

You try different approaches, Amaterasu tries all the powers he have and still you just stand there beside a dark tree with no clue as how to move on in the game.
